About Grenada

Grenada is the most southerly of the Windward Islands, about 100 mi (161 km) from the Venezuelan coast. It is a volcanic island traversed by a mountain range, the highest peak of which is Mount St. Catherine. Grenada is also known as the "Island of Spice" owning to the fact of the production of nutmeg and mace crops of which Grenada is one of the world's largest exporters. The island country of Grenada, is made up of the main island also named Grenada and several smaller islands, is surrounded by the sparkling waters of the south-eastern Caribbean. Grenada's location in the Caribbeans is north west of Trinidad and Tobago; northeast of Venezuela; and southwest of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The entire land mass of this small island country is only about 344 sq.km. Grenada is an independent nation within the British Commonwealth, under the rule of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, who is the acting Head of State. However, her local representative is the Governor General, Dr. Cecile La Grenade, who was appointed by the Prime Minister, Dr. The Right Hon. Keith Mitchell, the acting Head of Government.

The tuition fees in Grenada fluctuate, depending on the student's enrollment and selected program at either SGU or TAMCC. Average tuition, however, is about $25,000 per term at SGU.
